Sun also announced at this event that SouJava, the largest Brazilian Java Users Group (JUG), became a member of the Java Community Process (JCP). SouJava, the Brazilian Java Users Society, is the first Java Users Group (JUG) to join the JCP. The group includes Java users and Java evangelists from Brazil whose objectives are to strengthen, expand and professionalize the use of Java technology in the country.
